A new tradition at Outside Lands? Don’t mind if “I do”! Nestled in the Eucalyptus shade at the heart of McLaren Pass, City Hall is the perfect wedding venue. Festival attendees can host their wedding or recommitment ceremony, throughout the weekend. Reserve your ceremony time slot, secure your festival tickets, and celebrate the big day with your friends and festival family – we’ll handle the rest. What better way to tie the knot or renew your vows than surrounded by thousands of your closest festival friends.

The introduction of City Hall also commemorates the 20th anniversary of the Winter of Love, which marked the first same-sex marriage ceremonies in the U.S. at San Francisco’s City Hall. A donation of proceeds from City Hall ceremonies at the festival will be donated to Lambda Legal, a legal and education fund dedicated to LGBTQ+ civil rights. 

City Hall is an add-on experience, for festival ticketholders only and does not allow entry into Outside Lands. Festival tickets must be purchased separately to access Outside Lands and City Hall.

The City Hall add-on experience includes:

• Reserved time slot (15 min) 
• Wedding officiant to perform non-denominational ceremony 
• Wedding photographer to capture your special moment (will be sent post-festival)
• Wedding lounge to freshen up, equipped with toiletries and light refreshments (bottled water, personal care items, mirror, area to change, etc) 
• Commemorative festival wedding certificate 
• Limited, dedicated seating for guests (to be cleared between reservations) 
• Small size festival locker (for the day of the reservation only) 
• 2 drink tokens to be redeemed for post-ceremony toast (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available; must be 21+ for alcoholic beverages) 
• Dedicated City Hall concierge (love@sfoutsidelands.com)
• Ceremony space Inspired by the city’s botanical beauty and civic architecture

Legal unions and recommitment ceremonies only. Participants must provide a marriage license for legal unions or a copy of marriage certificate for recommitment ceremonies. To obtain a valid marriage license, you must make an appointment with the County Clerk. As a “while you wait state,” California marriage licenses can be picked up the same day. All reservations are non-refundable. After your registration is complete, a concierge will reach out to the email address used for the reservation to discuss your ceremony and answer any questions or concerns.
